1. Medical disclaimer

Little Steps Africa helps you record and organise information about your baby's care. It does not provide medical diagnosis, emergency response, or treatment recommendations.

• Vaccination schedules in the app are guides based on common national programmes—always confirm dates with your clinic or paediatrician.
• Growth charts and trends are informational. Only a qualified health worker can interpret measurements in clinical context.
• If your child is unwell, in pain, or in danger, contact emergency services or your nearest healthcare facility immediately—do not rely on the app.

2. Emergency situations

The app is not monitored by medical staff and is not an emergency service. In South Africa, dial 112 from a mobile phone or your local emergency number for urgent help.

3. Data and account security

• Use a strong, unique password or device biometrics where available.
• Do not share your login with people you have not invited as caregivers.
• Review linked caregivers regularly in Settings and remove access when no longer needed.
• Clinic PDFs and QR summaries contain sensitive health information—share them only with trusted healthcare providers.
• Log out on shared devices.

4. Photos and voice notes

Only upload images and recordings you have the right to share. Avoid capturing other children or identifiable third parties without consent. You can delete photos from within the app; deletion from our servers follows your account retention settings.

5. Caregiver and village sharing

Invite codes grant access to your baby's log. Share codes only with people you trust. Caregivers should follow our Community Guidelines. Report misuse to info@littlesteps.africa.

6. Children online

Accounts are for adults. Child profiles exist solely for health tracking under parental control. We do not offer public social profiles or open messaging between strangers.

7. Reporting safety concerns

If you believe an account is being used to harm a child, share data improperly, or violate our terms, contact us immediately at info@littlesteps.africa with "Safety report" in the subject line. We will investigate and cooperate with law enforcement where required.

8. Product updates

We may update safety features, reminders, and disclosures as regulations and best practices evolve. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or our website.
